These "rainy" photos were really fun to take. On one hand, I attempted to go for the more abstract, up-to-you-to-decide shot, in the reflection of the puddle. I edited it in black and white to add a bit of gloom, and it made it a tad more mysterious...
Only after the editing of the Japanese Maple Tree, I can really see and appreciate the contrast between the grass behind, and the dark maroon the leaves naturally possess.
I like the blatant difference between the two photographs, both in plain view, but also in style and edit. Now that I've photographed the consequence, if you will, of rain, I think I'll definitely be aware to take advantage of it's remnants of beauty more often.
